Astrobotic is at the forefront of advancing space exploration and technology development. We recently launched and operated the first American lunar lander mission since the Apollo Program. Beyond helping lead America back to the Moon, Astrobotic developed and operates reusable vertical takeoff, vertical landing (VTVL) rockets and continues to advance next-generation VTVL capabilities and advanced rocket engines. Established in 2007, Astrobotic is headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, with a propulsion and test campus in Mojave, CA.

Astrobotic is seeking a Contract Recruiter to support our People Operations team. In this role, you will primarily focus on coordinating and scheduling interviews, screening candidates, and supporting the recruitment process for our technical, administrative, and executive positions. As a Contract Recruiter, you will work closely with our Senior HRBP, and hiring managers to ensure a smooth and efficient recruitment process. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and scheduling interviews between candidates and hiring managers
  • Conducting initial candidate screenings and assessments
  • Managing candidate communications throughout the recruitment process
  • Maintaining accurate records in our applicant tracking system
  • Assisting with writing and posting job descriptions
  • Helping build a pipeline of qualified candidates
  • Providing administrative support to the people team

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in technical recruitment
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and scheduling tools
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to candidate experience
  • Understanding of basic hiring practices and compliance requirements
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of interview scheduling best practices

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in technical recruitment or in the aerospace industry
  • Personal interest in space exploration and research
  • Familiarity with the Pittsburgh tech ecosystem
