HR/ Benefits Coordinator
Astrobotic Technology, Inc. is at the forefront of advancing space exploration and technology development. Our expertise spans from lunar rovers, landers, and infrastructure to spacecraft navigation, machine vision, and computing systems for in-space robotic applications. To date, the company has been contracted for two lunar missions, and has won more than 60 NASA, DoD, and commercial technology contracts worth more than $600 million.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient HR/Benefits Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will primarily focus on administering and coordinating our company's benefits programs, while also providing crucial HR administrative support. You'll work closely with the HR team to ensure smooth operation of our benefits processes, maintain accurate employee data, and handle various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Administration:
- Manage and coordinate the company's benefits programs, including health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) plans
- Act as a liaison between employees and benefit providers to resolve issues and answer questions
- Conduct regular benefits audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Coordinate open enrollment periods and assist with new hire benefits orientations
- Process benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations in a timely and accurate manner
- Reconcile monthly benefits invoices and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in analyzing benefits utilization data and preparing reports for management
HR Administrative Support:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee benefits records in HRIS
- Prepare and distribute benefits-related communications to employees
- Support the HR team with various administrative tasks as needed
- Assist in preparing HR reports and analytics related to benefits
- Monitor and respond to HR department voicemails in a timely manner
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail for the HR department, ensuring proper distribution and filing
- Process and file unemployment claims, working with state agencies as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in benefits administration or related HR role
- In-depth knowledge of benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
- Experience managing open enrollment processes
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and benefits management software
- Strong understanding of benefits-related compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and the candidates professional experience. Base salary is just one component of Astrobotic’s competitive total rewards strategy.
